2007 Wedding Trends

Spa Packages for the Bridal Party

Brides are finding that their attendants enjoy a day of pampering rather then a typical bridesmaid luncheon in order to relax and bond with the bride.

Not the Ordinary Cake

Couples now have many options when choosing the look and flavor of the cake. A popular option is to have a tower of cupcakes or treats in lieu of a traditional cake. 2007 introduces cheesecake the new wedding flavor.  Couples are also using untraditional cake toppers to show off their unique personalities.

Casual Rehearsal Dinners

Since families are becoming more blended, some of our family members travel far distances to come to our wedding. And many times, the rehearsal dinner is the first time many of our family members meet. Brides are finding out that a more causal dinner such as a backyard BBQ or Luau creates a comfortable atmosphere for family members to meet and mingle.

Color Schemes

Brides are no longer limited to wearing white and putting their attendants in pastels. Brides are opting to add a splash of color to their dress through a sash or colored embroidering. And bridesmaids are seen in vibrant colors throughout the entire year.

Skipping the Traditions

Couples are choosing to forgo the traditional wedding party dances and garter/bouquet toss in order to get the party started sooner and dance the night away.

Destination Weddings

Many couples are choosing to relieve themselves of the stress of organizing a big hometown wedding. Instead couples are choosing tropical destinations and are inviting only their closest family members and friends to attend the celebration.

Banquet Seating

Couples are choosing to seat all of their guests at one long banquet table, instead of small individual tables.
